G.A.L.A. — Global Alliance for Landfill Abolition is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Florida, committed to ending the cycle of poverty and environmental injustice for children living in and around landfills worldwide. We believe in turning waste zones into zones of hope—through education, relocation, sustainable housing, and global advocacy.
“GALA” is a global humanitarian initiative and feature documentary project that focuses on ending the heartbreaking cycle of families especially children living and working in the most toxic and unimaginable places on Earth, within the world’s largest landfill communities. The initiative’s mission is to safely relocate every child and their family under the age of 18 to newly built, sustainable housing, providing access to education, healthcare, and opportunity.
